Tanzanian music star Ali Kiba and former Miss Tanzania 2000 Jacqueline Ntuyabaliwe Mengi have joined hands with the Tanzanian government and international organization WildAid for a campaign against poaching. The aim of the campaign is to stop poaching by decreasing products originated from animal materials.
The campaign was launched at Sea Cliff hotel in Dar es salaam and attended by Tanzanian minister for Tourism and natural resources Hon. Lazaro Nyalando, Chinese and U.S.A ambassadors to Tanzania, Ali Kiba, Jacqueline Ntuyabaliwe and religious leaders, Peter Knights from WildAid and Dr. Patrick Bergin from African Wildlife Foundation. The campaign aim to educate people about protecting elephants and other wild animals which are likely to disappear due to increasing of poaching.
