JUHI CHAWLA STARS IN A HOLLYWOOD FILM PRODUCED BY OPRAH WINFREY, STEVEN SPIELBERG AND JULIET BLAKE.

Bollywood queen and former Miss India, Juhi Chawla has signed her first Hollywood film "The Hundred Foot Journey", a Steven Spielberg production. The movie which is based on a book by the same name is being directed by Lasse Hallstrom who has won Oscar award for best director. The movie stars Om Puri and Helen Mirren, Juhi Chawla has been signed to play Om Puri's wife in the film. The actress has joined the Indian schedule for three days work. The film is produced by Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey and Juliet Blake.

The Hundred Foot Journey is currently being shot in Mumbai. The film’s plot revolves around an Indian family which tries to settle down in a small village in France where they run an Indian restaurant opposite a French one. The French restaurant is run by Madame Mallory and the role will be essayed by Helen Mirren. Obviously there’s a culinary war between the Indian family and Madame Mallory.
The film based on the book written by Richard C Morais will hit cinemas  on 8, August 2014.

Juhi Chawla is Shahrukh Khan's close friend and together they have starred in may movies including Darr, Yes Boss, Duplicate, just to mention a few.
