HERIETH:
Yes, I started modeling when I was
14 and I was modeling for local shows and local magazines, I didn't face too
many challenges at the time. But the biggest challenge I faced
was juggling school and modeling. It was honestly very challenging.
SWP: What was your first big show? And
what have been the experiences after being in major fashion weeks including New
York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week and many more?
HERIETH:
My first show was for Saiy and Kyo
for Montréal fashion week. The amount of experience I gained from doing fashion
week is very unexplainable. Its literally life changing.
SWP: You have appeared on popular fashion magazines as a cover girl including Vogue Italia And Canadian Elle magazine, also you have appeared in campaigns including Calvin Klein. So are there any other fashion magazines and designers' campaigns you dream to be featured ?
HERIETH: I would love to be featured in many more things, like vogue cover, Louis vuitton campaign, Kenzo campaign etc, but I’m so thankful for everything I have done so far.
SWP: Which Models are your best friends? Have you ever met with other Tanzanian International models Millen Magese and Flaviana Matata?
HERIETH: I have allotted of model friends but it’s very hard to find time to hangout because we are always in different cities. Yes I had the opportunity to meet millen and flaviana during fashion weeks and during castings
SWP: Acting was your first choice when you went to Angie's agency but they suggested you to do modeling. So do you have any plans to enter Hollywood few years to come?
HERIETH: Acting was my first choice but I have come to LOVE Modeling and everything it has to offer. I don't think I have the passion for acting anymore, but who knows maybe in the future things might change.
SWP: How do you prepare for model castings and fashion weeks?
HERIETH: Before fashion week starts, I usually get a facial, massage, pedicures and manicures. I always say that my looking good is a big part of my job and when I look good I feel good.
SWP: We know you are Tanzanian by nationality so any food you miss? Do you know Swahili language? If yes answer this question in Swahili language.
HERIETH: Yes naongea kiswahili nyumbani na mama yangu na sister wangu. nina miss ugali na maharage, chapati, vitumbua , maandazi and mchicha.

SWP: Many African girls and upcoming models look at you as an inspiration so do you have any future plans to come to Tanzania or east Africa to scout new talents?
HERIETH: I would like to come and visit and see my beautiful country but for now I’m very focused on finishing school.
SWP: How do you balance your studies and your modeling career which needs you to travel very often?
HERIETH: Honestly it is very hard to juggle both school and modeling, but my family, my teachers and my friends are very supportive, they help with my school work very often so I have time to travel and do what I love.
SWP: people compare your look to Naomi Campbell's look even some say you are next Naomi, Do you agree and any differences between you and her?
HERIETH:
It’s an honor to be compared to
one of the biggest supermodel in the world; hopefully my career lasts as long
as hers.
SWP: How do you protect your skin during winter?
HERIETH:
I MOISTURIZE allot. I literally have to buy a new bottle of moisturizer every 2 weeks or so.
SWP: Would you like to marry a Tanzanian man in the future or you have not any preference as many modern ladies are?SWP: This is an interesting question; I think the heart wants what the heart wants. If the heart wants a Tanzanian man then that’s what it’s going to be.
