After she won best East African Film at this year's Africa Magic Viewer's Choice Awards actress Lulu Elizabeth Michael who also produced the film was welcomed well by her ardent fans. Another Tanzanian winner is Richie Single Mtambalike who got AMVCA Best Indigenous Swahili Film For Kitendawili.
