Brad Pitt's Upcoming Film Postponed To Avoid A Clash With Shah Rukh Khan's Happy New Year.

It’s only Shah Rukh Khan's rule when in India. Though Brad Pitt’s name is quite a crowd puller, it’s always a risk to release with Shah Rukh Khan during Diwali in India.
Pitt’s upcoming film with Shia LaBeouf was going to hit the theaters on 17th October but has now decided to move further to the 31st in order to avoid clash with Happy New Year which stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan in lead roles.

As per a report by Indian leading daily, the distributors of the Hollywood flick advised against releasing in Happy New Year‘s vicinity to avoid getting overshadowed. Waiting a week will get them the best footfalls in terms of box office.
Happy New Year is a perfect festive release and will take a wide opening in India with over 4000 screens running the film alone. Given the Diwali holidays, the Indian audiences will prefer to watch Happy New Yearover any other movie. Though Brad Pitt’s film will definitely earn its due given its caliber, it will be a strategic mistake to release the film anywhere close to Shah Rukh Khan’s film which is a priority watch for all in India.
