Tausi Likokola a Tanzanian international supermodel who was active in the fashion world during the 1990s and the early 2000s has just signed her new book with Barnes and Noble which is the biggest bookstore chain in the U.S.A. The book is titled "THE TOUCH OF AN ANGEL". Previously the timeless beauty wrote books like Beautiful You, African Princess and The Art of Beauty and Health. Swahiliworldplanet had a privilege to ask Tausi few questions regarding her book........................

·         SWP: You have just signed your new book with Barnes and Noble, what is the name of the book and what is it about in short?
·         TAUSI: The book I have just signed with Barnes and Noble is called “The Touch of An Angel” is a story of loss and rejoice, that will inspire and encourage anyone going through pain!
·          SWP: Will it be available even in Tanzania and the expected price?
·         TAUSI: I work with different book stores in Tanzania, will have to make arrangements to see if they can carry it...meanwhile people can still buy it online, it is $15 a copy.
·          SWP: How do you see the business of writing books in Tanzania and in the developed world like US?
·         Tausi: I haven’t been home in a while but I know Tanzanians love to read...I did at school and learned a lot about the world through the window or books. I’d encourage old and young to read many books.
·          SWP: Where do you get story inspirations before starting writing your books? from your own life or?.
·         TAUSI: I write from heart and current situations in my life inspire a particular book. I wrote “The Art of Beauty and Health” when I was actively in fashion and surrounded with world of beauty. I then wrote “The African princess”, also inspired by my journey from Tanzania to western then worked in fashion. My book “The touch of an Angel” is also inspired by me losing my first born. I also published “Beautiful You” by working with young girls and see the areas that they need inspiration with.
·         SWP: When to expect your new book in the market?
·         TAUSI: If you follow me, you know I have been talking about a cook-book and children’s story as my world now involves the kitchen and my children...not sure when it will happen but I hope soon!
·          SWP: What makes someone to be a good writer?
·         Tausi: By connecting your emotions with your readers, makes you relatable and people would understand your pain, joy or any theme that can inspire someone to be better or to know LIFE brings valleys and rivers.
 SWP: Thank you very much

TAUSI: Thank you for your loyalty and support...and to all my fellow Tanzanians that have been with me for a long time now or the new generation!
