Kareena Kapoor , In spite of rejecting some major roles in the past continues to reign over Bollywood. Kareena not so long ago, revealed that she doesn’t have any regrets on rejecting Kangana Ranaut starrer Queen -- a movie which has been doing pretty well at the box-office lately.
In an interview to a leading English daily, Kareena said, “I feel honoured and glad to give work to other people. I hope they (actresses) become stars as I have rejected big films.”
The superstar had earlier revealed that she was supposed to do Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram-Leela -- the same movie that has put Deepika Padukone on the eternal road to glory. Interestingly all this fame would have gone into Kareena Kapoor’s kitty had she not chosen Gori Tere Pyaar Mein over Ram-Leela.
“I confess that I’m mad. There have been times when I’ve signed a film and then felt it was wrong. Yes, I was supposed to do Ram-Leela but I changed my mind. I decided to do Gori… instead. With me, it’s all about the mood. There are no regrets, I’ve worked with some really good directors. I’ve missed the chance to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. But there’s always a next time. I'm the only actress who can boast of giving films to other actresses,” Kareena had told another leading English daily.
Not only rejecting great movies but there are a few other decisions Kareena may have gone wrong with.
Not only did Kareena reject big movies, but also soured her relations with some famous directors. Apparently Kareena after recently rejecting Karan Johar’s Shuddhi and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram-Leela, may not be at the best of terms with both the directors.
Jab We Met brought out the amazing chemistry between the then real life couple Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor. It was not to last as the two actors broke up. And unlike Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor who handled their breakup beautifully and even did a movie together – Kareena and Shahid never appeared in any film and it is believed that the two have been awkward with each other ever since the breakup.
