Campbell's eight-strong 'detoxing' drinks menu goes something like this: pre-shower it's one hot water and lemon with probiotics, one green tea, one blend to boost the immune system, and another with aloe vera (said to help with digestion and immunity).
Then it's yoga or Pilates, after which she'll take a green juice. With lunch (which could be just a juice by the way) she'll have another green juice - and squeeze in another when she can - washing the meal, or juice, down with a calming chamomile or mint tea, or a SmartWater (water, made by Coca Cola, with added electrolytes for rehydration, we hear).
Thanks to her favourite new read, Clean, by Dr. Alejandro Junger - a "detox book that's been around forever. It's about how to take care of your body, what you put in your body," she explains - and a recent visit to a "place where they teach you how to take care of your body and clean it inside and out," Campbell then goes in light on the food front.
When she's filming The Face in New York, Campbell takes in packed lunches. And calorie rich they ain't - you'll find walnuts, dates, apricots and lots of dried fruit (as well as a blanket?) in her box. "I just became a vegetarian, and I find it a little hard to figure out what to eat, so I just bring stuff from home," she admits. Or it could be "like, salad and vegetables or something vegetarian like seitan, which tastes like meat but it's not," explains the super.
And all this is when she's on the solids. "I do juice cleanses two or three times per week," says Campbell, who pops into Juice Crafters or Organic Avenue on her juicing days.
Dinner? Campbell skips it if she can (that's after a 6pm Zumba session by the way); "I don't really like eating past eight if I can help it. So I prefer to have a big lunch and skip dinner. But if I go out to dinner with friends, of course I'm going to eat, but lightly," she says. But she doesn't drink alcohol, and only has desert once in a while: "it depends. The other day I had cotton candy, but I hadn't had so much sugar in my body for such a long time, I couldn't sleep. It really is true when they say sugar is a drug."
