Swahiliwood popular actresses Blandina Chagula(Johari) and Irene Uwoya are in South Afrika shooting for their upcoming film. Speaking with www.globalpublishers.info the two also said that they will visit various African countries like Namibia, Lesotho, Ghana and etc to see how to expand the market of Swahili movies and learn from those countries too "tupo hapa na Johari lakini tutakuwa na ziara ndefu sana ya nchi mbalimbali za Afrika kwa ajili ya kulisogeza soko letu la filamu na kujifunza jinsi wenzetu wanavyofanya katika filamu zao" said Irene Uwoya in Swahili. In recent years Swahili movies mainly produced in Tanzania have been popular in countries like Burundi, Rwanda, DRC and other African countries while Tanzanian movie stars are welcomed like national leaders in those countries. Also Swahili language movies are produced in Denmark by black diasporans and they say the market of Swahili language movies in scandinavia is so promising but there are no big companies for distributing Swahili movies yet.
